What the science says (1990–2026): Selenium
These citations support correction of deficiency, specified forms, and elemental amounts — the same logic used in MD's Choice formulas. They are not claims that a supplement treats disease.
Clark NPC 1996; SELECT 2008 JAMA; 2023–2025 selenium reviews. Selenium is required for glutathione peroxidases. SELECT showed high-dose selenomethionine did not prevent prostate cancer in already-sufficient men. Correct deficiency; do not megadose.
